A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, Don is known for his innovative multi-level images of architectural details, and distinctive pottery and photographs. Don is an active member of the County's growing cultural community. He chaired the organizing committee for Art in the County for five years and has designed the show for nine years. He is a member of Gallery 121 in Belleville where he is Head of Design. He participates in shows at Gallery 121 regularly and his work has been exhibited at galleries in Eastern Ontario and Toronto.. His work is included in private collections in Toronto and across North America. Don has received a number of awards in juried shows.
Don has served on the Macaulay House & Church site board, the Prince Edward County Museum Board, and was editor of the PEC Historical Society newsletter for three years. He exhibited with the Southside Co-op Gallery in Picton for two years and managed a co-op gallery in Picton in 2002.
Don is currently involved in graphic and logo design, painting in mixed media, pottery and photography. He created logos for several local organiztions. He has created posters for a variety of events around Prince Edward County. In 2006 and 2007, he juried the Belleville Art Association show, designing the show in 2006.
